The Vice President Rtd Maj Jessica Alupo has rallied people of Katakwi District to desist from political violence but rather embrace peace and reconciliation.
Alupo comments come at a time when a section of voters in Katakwi are still divided following intense 2020 NRM party primaries.
Katakwi district was among the districts in Uganda that saw the violent NRM Primaries.
Alupo has however told the residents to stay together in order to benefit from various government programs.
She also encouraged the people to vote for wish leaders who understand their problems.
However, Filbert Ocailap, RDC Karenga also on his part asked residents to respect their leaders.
