The NRM Deputy Secretary-General, Rt. Hon. Rose Namayanja Nsereko has said that the ruling National Resistance Movement – NRM Party is steadily registering progress in the implementation of it’s 2021 – 2026 Manifesto.

While citing progress so far made on PDM and Emyooga, Namayanja said that the NRM party is rooted at fulfilling its manifesto and believes by 2026 key issues in the manifesto would have been addressed.
She has on the same note continued to rally both NRM sub county leaders and LCIII chairpersons in the Teso sub-region to prioritize the monitoring NRM manifesto in their areas of jurisdiction.
Namayanja also emphasized the need to monitor service delivery and called upon leaders at all levels to join the government in the fight against household poverty.
She encouraged leaders to work closely with the party, pledging the party’s support towards the same.
Kenneth Ongalo Obote, the Minister for State Teso Affairs educated the leaders on their responsibilities in the community.
“As leaders, we need to understand your roles so that you can serve our people effectively. You must equip yourselves with the knowledge to effectively serve our communities.” He said.
He also addressed the concerns raised by NRM leaders saying that the government is committed to addressing these issues and urged leaders to work with the relevant authorities to find solutions.
“It’s important that we work together to address the concerns of our communities. We need to engage with the relevant authorities to find solutions to the challenges facing our people,” Ongalo spoke.

Uganda’s ambassador to Nigeria, Amb. Nelson Ochenger noted that there have been challenges during the implementation of the 2021 -2026 NRM Manifesto.
“The primary objective of this engagement was to encourage everyone to be part and parcel of the implementation of government programs so that whatever resources are released from central government to local governments are optimally utilized to offer services to the population,” said Ambassador Nelson Ocheger.

Former Deputy CDF Lt. Gen. Charles Angina on his part urged leaders to invest in income-generating projects in their communities to spur development and reduce household poverty by creating employment opportunities.
“I commend the NRM government for bringing peace and stability to the country. What is left is the social-economic transformation of all people. The 39% population still strapped for subsistence production must be assisted and patiently guided by you leaders until they join the money economy,” Lt. Gen. Angina said.
The Private Secretary to the President in – charge of Political Mobilization Augustine Otuko said the engagements were well-received, and the participants are optimistic about the progress that can be made with increased collaboration and accountability.
