Bosco Okiror, MP Usuk has donated about 1000 Enamel plates to Ekeunos womens FAL savings group (functional Adult Literacy) in Aojabule Usuk, Katakwi district.
Each group member went home with a dozen of the “breakable” plates and a leddle
While addressing the voters, he encouraged them to stick into groups and save tirelessly.
“In your groups I will bring trainers to teach you how to handle small scale bussines, like soap making, bakery” said Okiror.
Hon Bosco also encouraged the women to embrace goat rearing which he promised to improve their breeds through high breeding.
“I have brought the plates use them responsibly’”, he added
Plates were the biggest demand of the particular women. They placed their request claiming they are always shy to serve visitors food with plastic plates back at their home.
The Chairperson of the savings group, Acan Jessica, thanked hon Bosco for empowering them and delivering the plates.
“If it was not for MP Bosco we would still be using plastic plates said” Acan
