Emmanuel Omoding the son of late Patrick Okabe and also candidate for Serere County by-election race has branded those circulating rumors of his withdrawal from the race as desperate political propagandists.
According to Omoding, the allegations of him withdrawing from the race are total lies and people of Serere shouldn’t accept to be fooled by the desperate political propagandists.
Early on Tuesday word spread like world fire via various social media platforms that Omoding had written to the top NRM leadership of his intentions to withdraw from the race.
According to the information that was circulated, Omoding had accepted to step down in favor of Philip Oucor, the NRM flag bearer.
“This is a lie people , a big lie Serere. We are not pulling out. We are not cheap to be bought out. We shall win and conquer,” Omoding said.
His campaign team headed by Richard Emanio has also distanced the rumors saying they are being circulated by desperate political liars.
They instead said that, The NRM director for mobilization Rose Sseninde during yesterday’s meeting with Omoding hit a dead rock after she failed to persuade Omoding to step down.
They alleged that, “the meeting dragged for 3 hours without any consensus.
Serere County will go for polls on February 23, 2023.
