The Tororo Chief Magistrate Court has dismissed a case against Tororo officials.
The Tororo Chief Magistrate Doreen Ajuna today dismissed a case against Paul Omoko the former Town Clerk at Tororo Municipal Council and Ag Engineer Okema Francis who were being charged on allegations of abuse of office and embezzlement of public funds.
She said that the duo had attended court for five consecutive sessions without fail while faulting the state for failure to produce evidence and witness to determine whether the two officer were guilty or not noting that this infringes article 28 section (1) and (3)a also section 119 of the constitution.
The Magistrate also dismissed a case against Lawrence Wamale, Gogo Nelson, Thomas Mauso, John Dambio and Eufforresiaus Omeja who were dragged to court on charges of forgery in the ownership of Tororo children’s lions park.
Okema Francis one of the accused expressed his joy adding the true journey of a man on earth is full of challanges so this is the begining for him while thanking God for the ruling.
