BUKEDEA – At least a total of 6,191 candidates are expected to sit Primary leaving Examination (PLE) in Bukedea district, authorities have revealed.
PLE Exams will start on 7th November and ends on 9th November 2022.
Justin Akol, the Bukedea Sports Officers under the department of Education notes that the district registered 6,191 Primary Seven candidates to seat for PLE in 78 centre schools this year.
Akol made the revelations during the Preparatory review and processes for children organized by Action Aid in Malera Sub County.
Akol says that with the help of Action Aid Uganda they have managed to monitor schools that has enabled the district to fix the identified challenges.
Meanwhile, Samuel Acellam the program officer Action Aid Eastern region has challenged parents to incorporate activities children in their planning to ensure programs.
Acellam says children need maximum care from both the parents, teachers and government in order to perform well in schools.
As Action Aid Uganda is undertaking participatory review and processes meetings for children in the various schools of Kumi and Bukedea for financial year 2023 and districts have been encouraged to often involve children during planning processes.
Joseph Amailem the chairperson lc3 Malera implores the district to continue lobbying for NGO’S who impact positively in the improvement of education in various communities.
