KATAKWI – Ten people in Katakwi town council, Katakwi district including civil servants are in trouble after being voted for allegedly being in possession of poison.
The voting was held behind Katakwi market B this week, and was attended by over 400 people including market vendor’s leaders, district officials among other dignitaries.
The exercise followed the looming reports of poisoning in the town council.
Without divulging names and details, those voted included civil servants working with Katakwi town council and business operators working within Katakwi market.
Muzei Opus Ekukuleru the in charge hygiene and sanitation at Katakwi daily market believes the suspects voted are truly those in possession of poison.

The RDC Rtd Maj Godffrey Katamba recommended and resolved to suspend those who scored above 10 votes from duty and summoned them to police for further investigations.
He also called on the LC’s to strengthen the issuance of letters of introduction to any visitor settling in Katakwi town council.
